Yosemite National Park has seen an abundance of snow, spring rains are providing much-needed green, and sunshine is making May a gorgeous month for Yosemite visitors. May also marks one of the peak months for water at its falls – another special feature in Yosemite beckoning all photographers to Yosemite’s landscapes. May is the last month before summer hits and the park becomes overrun with visitors looking to appreciate its beauty. Now is an ideal time to plan a trip; waterfalls should not be missed, while many trails in The Valley and upper parts of the park contain treasures worthy of exploration. Trail running can be an excellent way to escape from the public and enjoy your park all to yourself. Focusing on any trail alongside water will lead you past wildlife, sierra wildflowers and creeks themselves – as John Muir often said “The Valley Is Calling”.
