Costa Rica has long captured my imagination due to its lush natural heritage! Sharon & I first visited over a decade ago, visiting Osa Peninsula multiple times. We were delighted by all that we experienced (except humidity) witnessed and photographed; particularly its incredible birds which I couldn’t get enough of photographing; unfortunately life got in the way and life happened and eventually life caught up with us but an opportunity arose last year for us to travel back again exploring different sides of it all – something similar but different compared to our first experience in previous visits.
From the airport we are heading north. Instead of following the coast we’re instead venturing deeper into the mountains – with over four hundred bird species to discover! My hands tremble as I type this. Just to prove how thrilling my trip will be, I packed the Z105mc camera along. In search of birds, landscapes and even insects – I know I won’t be disappointed! Prior to our exploration I reviewed all of the images taken during previous excursions in this region. As I realized I have been neglecting forest photographs in favor of sunrises and sunsets, this journey promises to be amazing – I can feel myself sweating with anticipation!
