Ed and I were in Florida shooting sunrise at Fantasy of Flight when power plant magician Andy approached me after an impressive shoot on the ramp and told us about an event planned later that afternoon: his friend Tom would be turning over his rebuilt engine on Andy’s Morane Saulnier plane he had done himself; Andy invited us over to photograph it which we eagerly accepted; at first I didn’t understand what a Morane Saulnier plane was; I just heard “plane” or that it had appeared in an old movie like Blue Max but that wasn’t enough for me!
