“I longed to capture images with just blue as the backdrop, since blue symbolizes water. Since my platform in the middle of a lake was situated directly beside vacation home-dotted banks, this became my only viable choice when the N3N-3 landed and came quickly to an abrupt stop.” To achieve maximum blurriness and show speed of landing, I chose a long lens with slow shutter speed of 1/40 (I was on a floating platform being hit by wake of N3N-3). Thanks to legs, stabilizer in Z 9 camera, and smooth panning I managed to create images that tell their own stories – long slow for maximum blur! If ever in doubt when faced with similar situations just remember long and slow for maximum blur.
