My first experience of the valley was when I was very young. Since then, my family and I have hiked extensively through it with our fathers; together we spent over 45 days camping alongside the river while exploring, shooting, and speaking about its treasures. Yosemite National Park holds special memories for our family, but I haven’t visited in six years – this makes a fall trip even more compelling! Why now? Yosemite National Park was graced with record levels of snowfall during its winter of ’22-23; and more snow has fallen recently this winter and recently in its last month alone! Yosemite’s love affair with water can best be expressed through photographs; so now seems like an appropriate time to visit with my newly acquired gear and say hi to old friends – I look forward to a fantastic long overdue visit!
