Posted on July 29, 2024September 15, 2024 By focusphotofocus.com No Comments on The Bi-State Sage Grouse: What Is It?

Photographers tend to excel at keeping up with equipment updates, but I have discovered they struggle with keeping up with critter updates/changes – although, if you are anything like me and find this information fascinating – then keeping tabs can provide potential business avenues as well as environmental education and public awareness efforts.

The Greater Sage Grouse is an amazing bird in danger of becoming extinct, which I only recently learned about (through wildlife photography). While most are familiar with Gunnison subspecies of Greater Sage Grouses, today was my first encounter with Bi-State Sage Grouses; which have become part of my subject knowledge over decades of photography this bird has played an essential part. “To write about a subject, one must know about its subject!” This principle holds true even more so for wildlife photography! So who knew about Bi-State Sage Grouse?
